Rising fuel
price trends, concern over climate change and the need to meet regulatory
requirements all focus new priorities on the conservation of energy. As
a long-time applications leader in a wide range of basic energy conservation
programs, Seaworthy’s engineers are proficient in efficiency enhancement
analysis and modifications. Other efforts in energy conservation have
involved the development of a sludge concentration system, which allows
for the recovery of otherwise wasted fuel; thermal barrier coatings and
water/fuel emulsification systems, both of which reduce fuel consumption
while lowering emissions; and several PC based software programs that
monitor fuel use and track progress toward improved efficiency. Our ceramic
coatings and/or water/fuel emulsion applications in diesel engines have
produced fuel savings of up to six percent and have

been in use for over twelve years. OEMs have recently adopted this same
ceramic coating technology.
