Our
extensive portfolio of vessel designs comprises a broad
spectrum of multi-purpose and purpose-built ships, with
an array of proven vessel designs currently under license.
These include: passenger, passenger/vehicle and high speed
ferries; Logistic Supply Vessels; RO/RO barges; river operations
command centers; and submarine docking tugs. Our hull conversions
have ranged from 90’ mid-body extensions to a unique,
hinge-connected section to enlarge White’s Ferry,
which we originally designed some years earlier.

Typical
contract designs and bid packages for government operated
ships range from NOAA research vessels to Coast Guard tenders
and the reflagging of non-US built ships for Sealift purposes.
Modifications have included upgrades in habitability, deck
and mooring equipment changes and foundation design, bow
thruster installation specifications, and stability analyses.

We
have completed conceptual designs for 500 to 3080 TEU open
top containerships (our Convertible Container Carrier or CCC)
and conventional containerships; Modular Floating Jails; the
conversion of a VLCC to a Very Large Mobile Offshore Base
for the U.S. Navy; passenger, cruise, excursion and dinner
boats; double hull tankers; arctic fishing boats and fish
processing boats; as well as other multi-purpose vessels.
In addition, we routinely provide
engineering services in such areas as stability, specifications,
powering, emissions reduction, structures, finite element
analysis (FEA), rudder design, noise and vibration mitigation,
ship condition analysis and cost estimating.
All
design related work is customized to our clients’
individual needs and goals in compliance with regulatory
and class requirements, and is completed utilizing the latest
versions of SolidWorks, AutoCAD and naval architectural
software.
