Seaworthy’s most experienced personnel often act as owner’s representatives throughout the conceptual, preliminary and detail design phases of a project. We have the experience to review RFPs, plans, contracts and specifications; provide assistance in conflict resolution; and perform site supervision. Representative projects have included such services for Casco Bay Lines during the construction of their 399 passenger ferry; Northeast Utilities during the construction of their 40,000 BBL double hull tank barge, and to NOAA for their Fleet

Rehabilitation and Modernization (FRAM)Program. We have also been similarly responsible for jumboizings, re-powerings, reflaggings and other major ship modification work. Our staff, for example, supervised rip-out, fit-up and commissioning of new 1000 KW SSDG diesel engines for a class of large containerships without taking them out of service. Seaworthy also has supplied turnkey shipboard fuel oil treatment and conditioning systems for diesel, steam and gas turbine-powered ships.
