SeaStar II™ is a sophisticated, user-friendly software system that provides users with automated maintenance support for management of equipment, labor, maintenance, repairs, parts, scheduling and reporting. It empowers the entire team of supervisors, engineers, and managers to make profitable maintenance decisions by tracking data and providing the
information to keep your organization competitive. It enables vessel owners and operators to:

  • Increase equipment reliability and vessel availability;
  • Improve maintenance asset management;
  • Control maintenance repair budgets;
  • Integrate work scheduling and inventory control;
  • Support ISO/ISM certification and regulatory compliance.

The SeaStar II™ Maintenance Management System is based on Seaworthy’s development of the Military Sealift Command’s award winning Shipboard Automated Maintenance Management (SAMM) system. This system services over 100 remotely located maintenance systems, with over 4,000 users. Access to all locations is provided via a consolidated database housed behind tight security to which all remote locations replicate to. System training is provided at each facility, as well as over the internet.

SeaStar II™ is flexible and can be customized to address seagoing marine engineering specifications for large, medium, and small fleets of all types of vessels. With SeaStar II™, you gain greater efficiency in your maintenance management functions quickly and easily. Data input is simple and fast. Key operational information about equipment, crew, work orders, budgets and inventory can be stored and retrieved to improve planning, scheduling and purchasing.

SeaStar II™ features a client/server architecture with an Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) compliant Remote Database Maintenance System (RDBMS). The SAMM software runs on the Microsoft Windows operating systems and the database is an Adaptive Server Anywhere database.

SeaStar II™ can be networked, is multi-user and can be hosted over the Internet. The eight main modules are listed below:

SeaStar II™ can be provided as a total turnkey system. Seaworthy Systems, Inc. is the leader in marine engineering solutions and has installed over 175 turnkey systems since 1973. Seaworthy developed customized data reflecting the customers’ maintenance goals and business rules. We installed the systems and provided personnel training by our certified Maintenance System Engineers. We have the experience to provide maintenance solutions and are ISO 9001:2000 certified.

Seaworthy has an extensive marine and industrial maintenance library. Our highly trained, experienced marine engineers work with you to develop a turnkey solution that gets results.

Seaworthy also recognizes that most marine personnel cannot always effectively commit time and resources for long-term projects and strategic programs while focusing on vessel operations. We understand this firsthand because all of our engineering staff has gone to sea. Our services include system installation, crew training onboard or shore-side, and ongoing engineering support. If you encounter any questions, help is just a phone call away.
